I went to some of the links I found through your blog (which I believe are your other sites). It looks like you could easily increase by 2-10x with better integration of your AdSense (at least on the sampling of sites I viewed). Your horizonal link units look good, though the vertical link units I saw were not as well integrated as they could be (for better integration you'll have to make some of your own adjacent links have a similar vibe to the link unit). Also, you seem to be using a lot of 468x60 banners which are also marked off as "Sponsors". Try tastefully integrated leaderboards, skyscrapers, or the big rectangles. Don't mark them as Sponsors or Advertiser unless you test and find out that it somehow increases CTR - otherwise don't do that. As Aaron Wall (seobook) says.... "Good advertisements do not look like ads".
Personally I've had a lot of success with the images-next-to-adsense technique (increased my CTR at least 2-3x).... it works for some/many people, and for some it doesn't - may be worth trying. If you choose to try that, just make sure you use generic images (and no arrows/etc), keep some space between the images and the ad block, and preferably include a border between the images and ads (recommended by Google). Send Google a sample for approval before posting it live on your site to be safe.
Anyhow, hope those few tips help out a bit. Let me know if you try anything and how it goes... I'll be happy to follow up with some more tips
