I have been reading a number of posts around this place where people are discussing their earnings.

I also read somewhere someone wrote about, either earning $1 a day from 200 sites, or earning $200 a day from one site. Both ways at the end of the month is very nice money.

So, how many sites do you run?. Many sites earning small, that all add up at the end?, or just a few big earners?

What way do you prefer?, and any advice to say relating?

On a side note I run about 10 sites with my g/f, when thinking about the numbers we could run a whole lot more.

i run, or will be running, 4 sites. None of which are earning me anything at the moment. I think it would be better to earn $1 a day from 200 sites. But try and get that $1 a day coming from organic traffic, then simply make a new site.

How are your 10 sites doing?

Thanks for your reply Slevin, I have thought of one big reason why running many sites rather than just a few;. If your main traffic source is google, and they change some algorithm setting and your drop in the rankings and traffic, so does your earnings, and this could hit you hard if it is your only site, or a large part of your "online presence", but if you have many sites, you are less likely to feel the impact.

My sites are doing okay thanks, nothing big time, currently about $100 a month average from each. Ideally, I would be happy just running 10 sites, but I guess they will reach their current max traffic at some point, so maybe to increase the earnings, increasing the number of sites might be an easier option, while still working on promoting my existing sites

Wow, I can only own and run one forum at a time! Anymore than that, and I just couldn't dedicate my time equally to each of them.

Although my forum is new-ish, it's doing well, but I do find I need to spend a lot of my, (Online), time on it.

Forming nice results.

I don't think loads of urls / domains all pointing to the same place (site) counts as multiple sites.
