I own a poker forum and I am looking to setup two premium membership options.

I am having trouble coming up with ideas for the membership.

The main things I wanted to set it up for was to run tournaments and freerolls as well as contests just for the premium members.

I am doing them for the regular members as well, but I want to have higher quality ones for the premium members.

I don't think this is enough to offer, I am also offering the usual upgrades, PM, attachment, a nice "club" badge for their name etc.

I don't think most members will signup to support the site right now but to get advantages of upgrading their membership.

I think the additional tournaments will be a good incentive for a lot since I will be putting up the prize funds so they could easily get more than their money back.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

I'd offer the following to paying members...

• Members only forum
• Ebooks and tips articles
• Gaming area with web based poker room to play for fun
• Try to sort out a better rate of rakeback for paying members from one of your advertisers
• Perhaps a t-shirt or mouse mat
• Special image beside their username

how much would the extra fee be?

Have competitions exclusive to premium members too (well you have kinda already said that, but good idea), and more games avalible (If you have them on your website)

I like Khalid's suggestions. The more value you add, the better. So $ value in tournament prizes, like you mentioned, is a good idea, as are ebooks etc.

Why not monetize more easily with poker affiliate products though?
