I recently acquired a domain which i think is a very good one, it's maxisblog.com. for those of you who don't know, Maxis is the company that made Sims, Sims 2, Simcity & will soon launch a very awaited game - Spore.

Now, i do plan to do something with it, but currently i have no time for that, should i park this domain? how much can i get from that? how does this parking works, do i have to drive traffic there, or does the parking company help me get traffic? if i should, which company should i park it at?

Thanks in advance,
A.H

It all depends if it receives traffic or not. I use to park everyname, but now I am getting into developing. My advice to you is park it, see if it gets traffic and clicks. If you get a ton of traffic and no clicks, develop, little traffic and clicks, develop, a lot of clicks and traffic which has a good CPC park until you can develop.

You cannot drive traffic to your parked names, a good parking company would be trafficz or namedrive.

You are saying that parking companies are responsible for driving traffic to my domain?

So you are basically telling me to develop it whatever the result is...?

If it recieves zero traffic, then it's useless to park. Why? The only reason you would want to park a domain would be that it was a domain that is recieving traffic right now, and the owner lost it. Then when you park it, and the old traffic comes to it, you make money off ads. It doesnt work if you dont get traffic.

No, they are not responsible for driving traffic. They are responsible for placing ads on your parked domain. The traffic is another issue.

Develop it ONLY if it's not recieving traffic already, which seems to be the case with your website as of now.
