Yes...it has....it was expensive....$95, if I recall....but, it's paid for itself...
but, I was at a little bit of an advantage as far as traffic.....the stock related forums that I frequent have between 5,000-10,000 members.....Iv'e been invested in this particular stock for about 3 years....and, Iv'e gotten to know many of the moderators personally....spread over 6 company-related message boards....
all ideas contained within my site from original concept to the release of 5 Press Releases unofficially, were run by a legal expert...to make sure that this idea posed no threat to the shareholders of the company whatsoever.....
It's actually a very unique, and interesting, problem the company is facing....but, I'm working my hardest to reach all 39,000+ shareholders worldwide....it's coming along....within the first week, I had over 500 submissions to my mailing list.
The traffic fluctuates though.....it's somewhat 'controlled'....
I'll explain...
There is usually a huge influx of visitors on the days that I release some kind of update to the mailing list. On days with no updates, I usually see between 100-200......but, on days with updates, it's gone up over 1,000 uniques. It's a relatively new concept though...the website....Iv'e been trying to make it appeal to shareholders of that company as best as possible...and, its really starting to garner alot of support.....
the adsense ads....on the other hand, are ok on high traffic days....but, not so generous on low traffic days. The site is still a work in progress as I'm testing out new things...different ad placements...etc....

This shareholder base represents a vast array of interests....so, I won't mind adding anything....whether your site is about finance or cooking or yoga or horse back riding or even just personal blogs.....
I applied this concept to a different page just for shareholders of the company....and, some of those shareholders went from receiving absolutely no traffic to more traffic.....
