Im about to start a new submission service soon, and as part of the service to clients I will have submission tracking for directories at the start..later to add articles, feeds etc.

But im thinking of providing this service to the greater public as something can buy WITHOUT being a customer of mine.

Do you think people will pay a modest monthly amount to use a service like this to keep track of there submissions?

Keeping in mind the service will be updated with new directories, new article distribution sites etc on a constant basis.

If you think it could work, what do you think a decent price would be?

It sounds like a pretty good idea! Anything with monthly residual fees is a good way to earn steady income as well.

Perhaps you might consider opening it up at a discounted rate for the first "X" amount of users and then boost it up to a little bit higher rate. For example, start with $9.99 and then once you've reached the designated number boost it to $19.99. I've seen other services do this with success and it may work for yours as well? I've also seen "FREE for the first 'X' amount of days" work as well, although you'll get A LOT more people to sign up and then drop out once they have to start paying.

Anyway, these are just some thoughts.

Humbly,
Trevor Dean

Sounds good. I'd pay a modest fee for the organisation this would bring to my chaotic world!

Oops, sorry. I was going to add that £4-5 would be a decent amount to charge, which I guess is roughly $9 or so.
