If you want your address, phone numbers, and other details to be hidden, then you should go ahead and pay the $5 for privacy. You must pay for the backorder first, and GoDaddy will attempt to backorder the domain for you. If GoDaddy isn't successful, then you will need to backorder another domain name. GoDaddy won't refund the money to you.
