Anyone have any tips re linking strategies, syndication, and viralization? I have access to tons of cheap writers so I'm working on a mega media project--10K blogs across hundreds of niche consumer content categories.

niche, from what I understand it is like a specific market. Only way I can explain is “Sport” isn’t a niche, where as “netball” is a specific niche. When people find/visit a niche site, they find it because they are searching for that specific topic.

Correct me if I am wrong

Luke

Luke:

You are partially correct.

Niche does mean a specific market, and there are varying degrees of specific.

'Sport' is a niche, and 'netball' is also a niche, just more specific.

You see, 'sport' could be a specific niche of the larger category 'outdoor activities'. And 'outdoor activities' could be a specific niche of the larger category 'leisure', and so forth.

When most people on these boards refer to 'niche' they mean 'very specific topic'.

You can define words easily just in google...just search for "define: niche" and you get stuff like this: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=def...utf-8&oe=utf-8

Handy!

I would try to group the blogs into logical categories and then interlink those blogs together, and have a main site for each category with links to each blog. Then, have your top site link to each of your main site. I guess you could call this pyramid linking, except that the links go horizontal as well.

This should bring focused traffic to each of your blogs and allow your visitors who are interested in one subject to see all your blogs on that subject, as opposed to maybe one or two.

Overall? Just make sure to plan it out before you actually start your network up.

Good luck!

Thats a great idea. I would actually have one main domain, which holds all the catergories, and has a link to each blog

Yeah a great idea! Would all the "sub blogs" get content added by you and your staff?

Niche = content category. Example:

Foreign Exchange (main niche)
subniches:

Forex tutorial
Forex trends
Forex legal issues
Forex news
etc.

I'm thinking of manually applying the tips offered by BLOGTRAFFICKING.com to all 10,000 blogs. Also, each will have custom cartoon logos. What do you guys think?

No. "Becoming rich" is secondary. I'd like to build a resource network that consumers would actually use and benefit from.

I mean, I dont see how good this can work out if its going to be crazy to manage 10,000 blogs.

Not only that, even if you get 1$ per article, lol, thats $10,000 - and I'm assuming no one writes that cheap...

How much are you going to pay per article? or per word? or w/e?

Yes Actually, the more work we put into this project the more I'm convinced that ADSENSE is not the way to go. It might be deemed spammy. Maybe build it first, establish a thick link network then put up the ads, what do you guys think?

I have a ton of writers. We write quality content for cheap. The blog system will use a differing text strategy Human input + readable content + automated back end for posting
