So, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. I have a website with about 7,000 members and over 500,000 page views per month. It's not a very active community in itself, but I have coded a web-based RPG to go along with it which is very active.
I have three domains, two of which are often mi****s and both are top-level. The site has great potential for traffic and revenue, but I have run into a few problems thus far.
I signed up for AdSense in 2003. I earned my first $100 in the first month and my account was terminated for click fraud. What else is new..?
I tried some other networks, including ClickSor and BrightAds. Neither had respectable payouts. So after about a year I signed up with YPN, with whom I had very high success rates. After two months I had hit the $500/mo mark and all was well. I was with them for a total of 6 months, the last month giving me about $800. And randomly one day, I received an email. My account had been terminated - for having too much international traffic. No warnings, nothing. Just termination.
Seeing as how I've tried just about every contextual advertising program out there and having been banned from the top 2, the future looks pretty dim for my site until MSN launches their program or until YPN comes out of beta. I could really use some advice on alternate ways to earn respectable income, or at least methods of driving traffic to my site so that I have a chance with some of the larger ad networks.
For the record, you can find my site at herorpg.net or radiantrpg.net.
Any tips, suggestions, etc are very much appreciated and thank you in advance!
