Anything unique about monetizing a wiki? Any particular challenges and/or opportunities?

I dislike the template/programming side of it. It's a pain to find where to put ads.

Put safeguard filters in place to ensure noone posts anything that is going to get you banned from adsense.

I had a great idea for a wiki, but after going through many wiki app's, I decided it would be a lot easier just to make a blog.
