I had an idea for a sort of interactive ad. the idea comes from snakes on a plane where plenty of people made posters and ads ahead of time and interacted with the advertising. Basically, I'd like to create a new form of ad where people can edit the ad they see and the edited ad will display afterwards. Not replacing, but splitting the impressions.
What do you guys think? Would advertisers be willing to try this out?

No, i'm not being clear. You see an ad, let's say adwords. Then you click edit. edit it. The new one then splits impressions with the old.

No, because people spending money will want guaruntees that their ad, which they have paid for btw, is displayed for a certain period of time or certain number of times.

If my ad is subject to change the nesxt time a visitor clicks edit, I'ld feel cheated out of my money!

The branding/association with a kickass new technology/high CTR wouldn't compensate? I mean, Snakes on a Plane let others control it... and made a motherf* killing.

You get your facts straight: the buzz it generated made it millions more than if "pacific flight 131" had gone to theatres. And, since your various posts indicate you just enjoy ragging on others, kindly stay out of my threads in the future.

Its not a bad idea, but Advertisers are deadly afraid of users doing something bad. It would be a hard sell to a national brand, but may be a good idea for a a company seeking a viral bump. If you are looking for a means to execute your idea, feel free to email me.
