I never had one.

I need a new way to monetize my music websites, what do you recommend? I want to try out some affiliate stuff, which I have never done. I was looking at one site, but the products or whatever were for a different audience, and I want to target music lovers/musicians. What do you recommend? Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

EDIT: I also have a MySpace one, you could suggest something for that one too.

Checkout the clickbank marketplace to find some related products to promote, some have some very nice commission payouts. Have a read of this quick guide to clickbank.

Adsense tends to work very well (in my case ..) with clickbank so give that a try and be-sure to tweak, tweak and tweak some more!

So I basically sell other people's products, and I get a percent of their earnings? I don't get paid anything per click?

Making your own product is one thing you can do - however, it will not necessarily harm you by selling other peoples products in the mean time.

It is basically one way at looking to gain some income from your website before your own product is available.

It doesn't have to be used necessarily as alternatives, but definately a nice list of things to consider evaluating and seeing if any can suit specific websites better than adsense (if currently used etc)

I've had good luck with Napster's affiliate program through CJ. You might want to try that out and see how it goes for you.

CJ is confusing. Ok so I searched for "My Chemical Romance" and got a bunch of products, what now? It says application pending for the products I applied for, but it gives me the HTML already. What if I get denied and still sell a product? Will I get the money?

EDIT: Nvm, I clicked 'get html' and it says it's pending. But still, they take too long!!
