Well, since the other board for the partners competition seems to have died and seems like its not going to happen, I'm going to post my own update. I've taken the liberty of trying to find a big company sponsor for a competition like this; just got off the line from a friend at SWSoft. I gave him the basic low-down, and he told me a few things: that it would be easy for people to lie about how much they made, or bring in traffic from other sites, or cheat in any other way.

But anyways, if we get past that, all I have to do is email my friend there a semi-formal overview of what I want, and he said he'd push it over to the right people. If that doesn't go through, thats fine, I'd be willing to put some cash out of my pocket for a prize and hopefully a few other people would be as well (I want to compete in this too lol).

So, before we can even get this started, I have to know if there is still interest for this here. I'm also looking for ideas on how to stop people from either getting traffic from other sites they own, faking screenshots of revenues, or giving accurate screenshots but of combined revenues with non-contest websites.

I actually have a few ideas for all of these that would work if _______ complied, but I have to speak with them first.

Anyways, please post here if you can help out with things such as coding/design, etc. I really want this to be a huge contest and get us some nice prizes.

The other Partners Competition board hasn't been updated in almost a month now, so since I haven't heard much I'm guessing nothing's happening on that one? I'd like to go through with this competition regardless of whether EF will support it or not.

So would i. I suppose we could monitor the uniques of each site by making everyone include a certain php file or javascript code which would record how many uniques they are getting and where they are coming from. Also as to earnings, screen shots would need to be provided as proof at the end

Screenshots = easily editable though.

I'm definately in. How about putting Google Analytics up on the site, and then adding the contest judge to the permission list so that he can view the data?

Isn't GA only 5 sites per account or did they change that now?

But yeah, that would solve the cheating for traffic part of the contest, so I think the only thing left would be editing screenshots/mixing other sites revenue in with contest-eligible sites, etc.

They upped it to 10 sites now.
