Well Im am still trying to understand all of this and still don't quite get what a "niche site" is. So the process would be like this.

- Create a website / forum and get a steady stream of trafic
Put links to your site in your signature on all the forums you visit, submit to search engines with a site map, have an referal contest, etc.

- Select a type of advertising for your site and blend them in the best you can.
CPC - cost per click
CPM - cost per 1000 views
CPA - cost per action
This part I am having trouble with. I am not sure what the selection process is with these. Lets say I owned a gaming forum getting 1000 views a day with 50 of those new visitors. The main audience is males age 15 - 30 mostly living in America. What type of ads would be best do you think ?

- Once you have one succesfull site build another and just keep repeating the process.

So what errors do I have and what things am I missing :helpsmilie:

Thanks,
Jordan

With forums they are tougher to monetize so CPM works well but if you have a really targetted audience CPA and CPC could do really well. When in doubt the key is try and tweak , try and tweak as every site and traffic is different what might work for one site might not work for yours.

Okay thanks I am going to take a guess and say that CPM usually works best because on forums people don't really pay much attention to advertisements so the number of ad clicks and cpa rates would be very low. However they are still loaded so CPM would be the most effective.

well you need to try various things as it depends on the site. Adsense has worked well when placed after the first post for guests so that is worth a try. and depending on your traffic CPA could work well. Test and try there is no reason you can't even run all three except that would start being a lot of ads on the forum
