I recently started working on adding Ebay affiliate banners to my site. Basicly, the real time updating "auctions" that show up in different banner shapes.

Either I've inputted my CJ PID wrong, or they dont update stats but every couple of days. Anyone have experience with this program? Are you making good money at it?

Haven't tried it but was waiting for it to become available. Going to try it now and I'll let you know if I notice the same problems.

EDIT: I thought this was through CJ but I can't seem to find it now? Where do I set up these ads?

You need to go to affiliates.ebay.com to get the different types of javascript banners, even though you're paid through CJ.

The ebay affiliate program works quite ok for me, their stats are updates every few hours.

Maybee I am putting in the wrong Affiliate ID. In CJ, it gives you the PID for Ebay, I'm assuming you use that on the Ebay site when you set it up.

Do you get stats for page views or just actual purchases? The ads have been running on my site since last night and I show 0 views, etc. so something must be wrong.

You need to go to CJ and get help. Ebay has recently changed all of there linking.
You set up the links on Ebay but you use your CJ PID.
I recently redid all of my Ebay links. I have to log in and see if I did it correctly?
Also they pay a % of the auction item purchased.

You actually make a percentage of the revenue eBay collects on a sale, which is a combination of the various fees paid by the seller of an item.

Also, the link migration does not affect tools, such as the Editor Kit, available in the affiliate section on ebay.com.

Good luck,
Ty

I've been thinking as setting up as an ebay affiliate, but I have a horrible feeling it will go the same was as Amazon, e.g terrible commissions (4%!!).

Do I have to send stupendous amounts of traffic to ebay to earn decent money?

I'd say so unfortunately unless you target high-ticket categories like real estate or eBay Motors.

But give it a try. It's free.

Good luck,
Ty
