Hi People,

I've always heard that CL is a greta place to get traffic, but I dont seem to be getting alot. I put it in the small biz ad section. Is this cool?

Any help greatly apprieciated :helpsmilie:

I think people post site links to Craigslist because it provides a backlink that will get spidered pretty quickly by the search engines. I wouldn't expect a ton of people to actually get to your site through the links.

What a load of tripe when I have enough posts to post URLS i will show you a few great resources that allow you to make big bucks on craigs list!

CL will IP ban you if you spam it often.

IP banned, URL banned, email banned, ad copy banned, yea, you get get them all done (and I've had them all done

CL is really cracking down though, I'd only use it now to get backlinks as was already said.

I got URL banned, but not IP or email, at least for now.

So I change the URL regurarly and redirect it to the website :thumbup:

CL sucks. I post a legit ad to rent my house and they flag me. California seems to be the most anal about it. Go figure!

Couldn't agree more. craigs is a COMPLETE waste of time. Talk about spending way too much time doing the little stuff that won't work.

If your add has an affiliate link it will be removed from CL quickly. You will have a better chance of having your own website that has aff links on it.

yeah as I have been useing it lately I cannot see many great results.

They have realised that there are alot of people from the internet marketing community using this to make money and have been quick to try and stop it.

I wouldnt waist your time with this at the moment...ok it might have worked many moons ago but its not so effective right now.

just warning others out there not to be disheartened there are other things you should spend time on and money on and you will get better results. ask any marketing guru and they say yes use free traffic as part of your marketing arsenal but if you spend money on PPC and other marketing that you have to folk money out for, done correctly will bring you money in the end.
