What are the best ways to monetize a blog? I believe Adsense is nor the best way.

As rob says, it depends entirely on the blog. Some blogs are just used
to build hype before a product launch, some are used to entice members
into a membership service, some are used as fluff to separate PPC ads.

You shouldn't start with the idea of having a blog - you should start with
an idea for a product, service or some other way of making money. If a
blog is the best vehicle for realising that idea, then go for it.

After millions of hours trying to make money with Adsense etc I think the best way is to sell links to other websites or copanies,but without the middleman.

There are many many ways to monetize a blog. Adsense in the lazy way and not the best in my experience.

As other have said, it really depends on your blog topic.

As said by micahsc, there are many ways to earn from blog. Adsense is surely one way but it depends on what kind of blog you have and how much traffic you are generating regularly. Many are creating Forums and populating it in a short time with the help of professional services from community building companies.
