I'm testing this now as part of my investigation into Web Monetization.
In my research I did find people who had recieved payment so I'm giving it a go myself.

The search element looks fairly useful as it gives you a screen shot of each site found by the search engine. After a little testing last night my dashboard said I had earnt 2c.

I'm going to test further and I'll let you know.

I've been using it for about a week....not alot but I've done a few searches and also I read the news links on there rathe rthan using the BBC site at lunchtimes.
I'm upto about 12c.

I've been reading the forums and apparently the site is still in Beta, and rewards will increase after the site lauches 100%.

People are moaning on the forums that they aren't making enough money, from it...but does google pay you for searching??
So isn't any money gained a bonus???

yeah one thing i have learnt online is that you are going no where if you dont take risks and spend money.

ok first you going to make mistakes...but thats ok. just remember to not make them again. Alot of people dont do that.

some of the wealthiest men alive today (the bill gates', the richard bransons', the rupord murdochs') didnt get that way by having things fall in their lap.

ok luck does play a little bit, but if you dont take smaller risks and bigger risks you wont go anywhere.

Its a good piece of advice so take to it how you want but remember you are in control of your destiny not any body else. Its a special thing that no one can take away from you.

so do what ever you feel is right....are you risk taker is what you really have to ask...deep within yourself.

I wouldn't spend all your time trying to make money from this. If you spent the time you spent on this on webmastering or coding, you could probably make more

Plus, a probably more effective way to make money and faster with about the same amount is getting paid to post on forums.

I tried it for few days then got tired of it, all i could make is few cents in one day, with that speed i ll get my minimum cheque cut amount after few light years. So stopped using it.
