Hello all:
As many of you know Google has tweaked the Adwords program and it has resulted in keywords jumping from $.40 (forty cents) to $10.00 per click, knocking many of us out of the game.
You may have seen this on your account:
Increase quality or bid $10.00 to activate
I've done a ton of reading (ShoeMoney, DP, even Google) and have heard several stories:
1) This was a momentary glitch, soon to be fixed.
2) Sites that link to affiliate landing pages are 'slapped' with the $10.00 click and remain shut down until the advertiser agrees to pay it.
3) Landing pages of poor quality cause the 'slap.' In other words, Google is spidering the landing pages and making quality judgments. If they don't like the page, slap slap slap.
So what's the story? Anyone got the straight answer? Google has been very evasive, and I find it hard to believe they would handicap their big earners based on 'site quality'.
