Tricky site to monetize?

I have a site (in my sig) which I would like to monetize, even if it is only generating a little bit.
The problem is how would I target the ads? There is next to no text for google ads to pick up on. Would text link ads work?

not trying to be mean... but you are just trying to repeat something that has been done and has basically come and gone... I would really try to find a new way or twist and find a way to get the word out thru Myspace, facebook etc.. and ad text to have the ability to pull relevant ads. I woudl also look into promoting affilaite offers.

I would suggest you focus first on your content before starting to monetize it. I really did not see any relevance upon glancing at it and not until I casted a vote. It gave me an impression that you only have 5 pics there. I would suggest putting more pics in the home page and make the pics change randomly on every visit. Hope that helps

content is so important, if you give good content then you will realise that it is king and is the leading contributing factor to making money.

There's also a code you can put into your HTML on a site so Adsense will only pick up on certain words in the blog or site. You could use that around your meta keywords perhaps to pick up on the most relevant keywords about the site.

There's nothing much wrong with the site. Although it's been done before doesn't mean that you can't do it. There are many forums on the web and they are still getting started daily, there are many blogs on the web and new people are starting them everyday. Just because it's already been done doesn't mean you can't start it or if you do, you will not succeed. As long as you make your idea a little different or have more features than your competitors you would be fine. Not sure about adsense, but what about a CPM network or maybe CPA affiliate network ads or affiliate programs in general.

I agree, it's a little 2000 instead of 2007.

I would put some adsense as a test, although not sure what ads they would deliver. Far better to think of your own idea, unqiue handwritten content about something you know about. Expand it day by day, week by week.

Try adbrite you'll get money for clicks and refreshes and that site looks like it would have a lot of page loads

Good going guys, I'll work on all these things next.
I'v been working on Facebook lately, the site now has a supporting facebook app (as seen in my sig) which replicates the basic site content on people's profiles.
