Anybody here make a decent amount of money off advertising through MySpace.

I've tried it in the past and haven't had much success at all. I've ran some myspace resource sites but even with bulletins and other comments it still didn't generate that much traffic for those sites.

Maybe you guys had more luck...

You're crazy. Myspace is still a big earner for all the myspace site owners out there.

Myspace has tons more users than facebook. There are still people making money even with message spam. They are just having to adapt since people are catching on.

I think that social networks are a great way to make money. I see it every day.

Niagara Media has a social advertising network called Zohark that helps application developers monetize their apps. Zohark offers contextually targeted ads that convert very well in social networks and that makes the developers happy, and a bit wealthier too.

There are over 11000 applications on facebook and the number is growing daily.

How many people on this board have developed or are developing an application for facebook?

Agreed. I have a website called socialtweak.com that has a ton of resources for "pimping" profiles on myspace, facebook, etc. It is offline at the moment because our server blew apart... But I did decent with it. Never really pushed it as hard as I wanted but that will change once I get it back up and running.

I currently have a network of myspace sites which earn a handsome sum. Also, back in the day, I used to make a huge amount money through myspace advertising, and selling accounts. Unfortunately, but quite rightly, MS eventually tightened their spam filters and virtually erradicated the widespread problem.

theres alot of people making money through myspace and fake profiles. I like wordpress better. but all said adult dating sites are the best money makers right now. I use loadedcash, better than fling or aff by far

Honestly, I think the time to cash in with Myspace is gone.
You can still find ways to use it to make money, but it isn't as easy as it used to be when there was a lot of hype about myspace.
