My perspective is this:
Good hard work in the beginning.....I mean total, all out, intense, dont have time to take a second off, burned every ounce of energy, expended everything you got effort in the beginning effort...
leads to....
little effort income streams
nothing in this life comes free and easy. Maybe the lottery...otherwise...nothing.
but...
a good idea combined with an INTENSE period of effort to actualize it
can lead to SEEMINGLY low effort profits.
Case in point. My first site took about 6 months of concentration and total "online time" effort to get "established". From there it has earned over 150 a month with NOT ONE OUNCE of effort other than to collect a paycheck.
so to put this all in perspective...
the amount of effort you put into a project will lead to its payout.
Little in will no doubt equal little out. (go buy an ebay site and hope it pays) or...put the time in to think of an idea, research it, build it, love it, live it, and then...maybe, if you did it right....it will pay with
"little or no effort"
but not before!
