I found a cosmetics program on one of my networks today that is brand new and is paying out $7.00 per free trial on a short 1-page form. I ran a similar profitable campaign with a CPA of only $1.25 for a cosmetics offer and made a lot of money... this new offer pays out almost 7X as much.

Since I can't double up on keywords and I don't want to shut down my old campaign, I wrote a guide for how anyone with a computer and an hour or two to spare can turn this into a monster earner.

The CPC (once you've got a good history with your ads) can be lowered to around $0.15-$0.30 per click -- thats what I'm paying. Very high-traffic niche too. Don't ignore the content network, there's some good traffic on there.

I normally password protect these just for EF members, but this one I left open

Interesting...I saw that offer go up too but figured it wouldn't perform because the makeup is not a brand name (as far as I know), and it requires them to pull out their CC

I never recommend direct linking as a long-term strategy. Even in the short-term, you have to know how to do it properly to avoid getting caught in a manual review. I don't direct link in my cosmetics campaign, I built a single landing page. Ideally I should have done more than just one page, but I threw it up in a hurry and it turned out to be a winner so why futz with it, right?

My landing page simply uses similar color schemes, graphics and on-page elements so the visitor doesn't feel jolted when they click through to the advertiser's page. I put it together as a single graphic in photoshop, sliced it and had it online all in under an hour.

nice tip.

GTAce: "no name" means you get to do research if you wish and if it's an up-and-coming brand or if it's a rebranded lower tier of a premium line (eg. honda-acura, toyota-lexus), you can dig around and adjust the marketing angle on your landing page/content site.

If it's $4.99 S&H on a $7 payout, it's still not too bad. i think you could kill it, especially on the content network...

Thanks andrew. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not giving away any sensitive tactics of my own. But because most of my income does not come from affiliate marketing, I can give out freebies like this and not worry that the increased competition is going to make me homeless
