hey all I'm thinking of looking for a new ad service to put on my site. so i wanna get a general idea thats been a good money maker for everyone else. Thanks for your input.

Adsense is the best, but it depends a bit on your content/niche as well

Yeah adsense is good, but to make real money from it you do have to have quite a lot of traffic. Also, be careful going in to adsense, they are very strict about enforcing their rules. I made a mistake with mine and got banned

AdSense can be great, but if you have quality traffic and a very targeted niche, you may do even better researching individual affiliate programs and placing those ads on your pages.

I only use Adsense, cause it can serve ads very fast, quailty and match with your content. Its great

The easy way is Adsense. Insert some code and you're ready to go.
I have to agree with gilbertcross. Affiliate marketing pays a lot better. The downside for that is that you have to put some time into research to find the best offers for your audience.

As for payment. Google ofcourse can be trusted into paying you as long you didn't break their TOS.
For affiliates you have to research and read first to seperate the good from the bad.

For me sponads.com works nice

as it gives me flat rate money for different sponsors.

I still have yet to take on adsense or adwords, i will when the time is right, as for now i have great success with ad forums

Adsense is the first choice of most people. But, google is really picky about the content that is next to the ads.

Besides adsense, I recently signed up at adbright. After about 24 hours the ads are not related to my content. Some of my content is related to hiking, camping, hunting,,, stuff like that. Adbright is showing "University of Phoenix" ads next to these outdoor types of articles. I will let the ads run for about 2 or 3 more days. If they dont straighten up, I will have to go with something else.

Besides adbright and adsense, I have not really tried anything else.
