I am using a few affiliate programs for my site which are working well, however i am struggling to find a good PPC affiliate program (cant use adsense because site has adult content) I am currenty using Adbrite however they're CPC is very low and it there code seems to slow website page loads. Has anybody else encountered the same problem with Adbrite.

As far as I know if you have a site with adult content the only serious option for a big company PPC is Adbrite. To be precise their BlackLabel section.

I dont know of really any other major company that you could use other than AdBrite. You could try using that OpenX software and doing it yourself, therefore you can find out what ads work for your site, which then means you are making a percentage rather than a couple cents.

Adbrite is the number one choice for everyone kicked off the big G so I think you're stuck with it.

Adbrite blows... I'm sure you can find some alternatives if you check out an adult webmaster forum. I've looked into this myself, and from what I hear, there are very few options to make CPM based income on adult sites. Apparently, adult website traffic generates very few clicks, but plenty of traffic. This is why it's hard to find a company willing to pay CPM for adult traffic.

If your site provides links to porn, maybe you should try something like linkbucks to monetize your outbound traffic.

Adbrite is absolutely horrible, I used them for a week or two and quickly realized I was just destroying far better opportunities to monetize my site.

It seems like a reasonable easily-controlled system for maximizing revenue but you get paid at a low rate. I was unable to buy clicks from google cheap enough to make a profit from selling them to adbrite, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't apply them to free traffic. Still, pay per click is rubbish. Pay for performance is MUCH HARDER WORK which is a clue about what adjective describes the differential between the income from ppc vis a vis ppp. ppp is the way forward - for the realworld mooks (to whom it means "public and private partnership" - or "feudal sheisters get together and milk the nation in a yet more organised and nazi fashion") and for us it means affiliate networks' new big boom (the day they call cybermonday will be the cyberest and mondayest of all so far this time - for affiliate money people, i can smell it, the stench is distinct) and bye-bye adsense spamiverse.

google? yesterday's news. let's get current, eh?

I dont like Adbrite. I normally use Adsense in my blog but when i try use adbrite, the traffic and pageview has lowered. Maybe because of the script used by the adbrite ads. When i checked the page, a notice comes out asking me if i want to continue loading the script or not and if i click yes, the same notice will come out again after a while. During that, the page contents have not been loaded yet. If i click no, the ads will not function correctly. Visitors will really not like this at all and will just leave when something like that happens.

For some sites it works better than AdSense. Spin a test for a week and see. You won't lose a lot, just some hours of work, and will know it for yourself.

It's ok in my opinion. Not great, just ok.
