I have gone through many article writing websites, but I couldn’t find out potential income through that, recently I visited ehow.com looks great, but don’t know actually when I will receive my first income, do you guys know any good resource where I can contribute my time and efforts in writing and earn few bucks at least expects one cane of beer everyday.. lol

Please give me your valuable suggestion..

Have you tried Squidoo yet? It works alright for me, but requires a lil more work than just writing

Hi, article writing is more for bringing traffic to your website...so your affiliate link, or your own product or information site with ads...so that's a great way to bring traffic.

Ehow is great for making small change along with Helium. If you want money writing articles I suggest joining www.rentacoder.com and starting to bid on paying jobs. Of course you'll need a portfolio and such. For more detail, click on my freelance jobs link.

There have been articles websites that offer you with payment... Search in googles. However, articles writing is useful for SEO too

Just look up PPP (pay per post) and you can write articles and put it on a blog and you will get paid.

Also go to a website like nettuts.com that buys tutorials for 150$ a pop

I would dump those sites that pay for articles. Article marketing is very powerful because it builds links for your sites and blogs. 40-50 articles posted in Ezine Articles can get your blog PR 4-5 if you do it right. Why would you want to waste quality original content by giving it to those "pay" sites for pennies?

While submitting an article to the article directories, remember to include a web site link at its end. If the article is very informative and accurate, readers will certainly click on the web link and buy the promoted product.

Yes, the best way to make money from articles is to put them on your own site or blog and build up a loyal following on you own site, rather than someone else's.

I know very less about those which pay you for writing good articles because haven't used articles in that sense, but its a very good SEO tool, you could write articles for creating traffic for your website throgh which you could earn. Thanks and good luck

If you own a good blog or articles site, you could generate some serious revenue. Of course, if you create your own site, you will have to do lot of work on page and off page optimization. That may take sometime.

On the other hand, as suggested by others, you can also write blogs for squidoo and hubpages. You get paid for writing quality blogs.

I would recommend that you start up your own website and write articles for it and earn money through affiliates. You are not going to make too much money writing for eHow but there is potential through affiliate marketing.

Hey,

Honestly, I'd start a blog and use articles to promote affiliate products, then use content syndication to ramp up your campaign.

Here's a way to maximize article marketing, since by itself it's getting less and less effective:

(This also assumes you have accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, and use either TubeMogul or Trafficguyser for video distribution)

1. write between 1-2 very high-quality articles or pieces of content each day, on the topic of your current campaign
2. submit them to as many article directories as possible
3. turn that article into a PDF (you can use CutePDF, it's a free software)
4. submit that PDF to document-sharing sites (example: Scribd)
5. turn the article into a video (either record yourself or use powerpoint)
6. distribute video to video-sharing sites via TrafficGuyser or TubeMogul
7. embed the video in a new blog post, then paste the article underneath the video
8. ping the new post (using Pingler or something similar)
9. update Facebook, Twitter, and any other social media sites you're on about your new blog post
10. Do this again.

This will definitely jump-start some serious traffic to a blog, guaranteed. It should only take about 2-3 hours when you first do it, and should be done in addition to anything else you're doing for traffic. But this will give you immediate results, as in traffic within a few hours. The income will follow as well.

If you use TubeMogul or Traffic Guyser for the videos too, you can get your videos ranked really quickly in the search engines and draw out some organic traffic.

PS- If you'd like to incorporate SEO, then install the FireFox Add-on "SEO for FireFox" if you haven't already. You can use that tool to pick off '.gov' and '.edu' backlinks from authority sites (or any sites in general), and pretty much dominate every single longer-tail keyword within a day or so.

If you combine that with making content-rich posts around keywords you can rank for that have decent search volumes, it makes for some awesome organic traffic, especially if you can get a couple top 10 results for the more competitive keywords with your videos.

That's the better way to do 'article marketing' haha.

If you are trying to write articles for other people is one thing. If you are doing it for yourself is another thing. If you want to do it for other people you will find that there is a lot of competition out there and that "writers" from India are inundating the market with cheap articles for as low as $3 per article. However in my experience (I tested one) they are not worth the price (at least the one I got for $5).

If what you want to do is to promote your website or affiliate links you will find them very profitable as long as you know how to pick your audience, know how to optimize your articles, where to submit them and produce as many as you can (one or two per day will be perfect).

I didnt know we can generate income through through articles before but I guess a lot of people do need article writings right now and you can even see loads of outsourcing site and freelancing site for that

I tried Squidoo some time ago but realised that the only way to make money there was through constant update and driving traffic to the lens. One of the best ways I've made some decent revenue has been through blogging.

As someone suggests above, check out PPP and see if it will work for you too.
