Just curious as to how many visitors a day you guys recieve before you truly began to make constant money

I've been told from a number of sources (video, other sites, ebooks etc) that you need at least 100 unique visitors per day before you can start to see anything worthwhile to continue with.

One of my sites, whilst not designed to make any money from PPC, gets around 1300 unique visitors per month, and recently i added Adsense into it, which is not producing more than enough to cover my web costs per month. Keep in mind though, the site is designed for people not to be leaving, so that money comes from passer-byers. I imagine a site that was providing information only, would result in a bigger click through and there for a larger number.

200 or 200k.
200 New "investors" looking for a Broker will have a tons of more Lead/Sales than 200k looking for free adult content.

It depends on the content quality and conversion rate...
Some good lead generation pages can generate money with as low as 30 visitors/day.

I got with my 300 daily visitors to movie site about 4USD per day... so if you need to make 100USD per day which is fine for living you need to have at least 7500 daily visits for this niche.

But it really depends on niche and affiliate program you use.

I would have to agree with this, unless you have a specialized niche and you can easily convert your readers.

For an information website......when I got started I thought "man, if I could get 1000 visitors a day, then I could get some beer money for the weekends"

Well, got there, and still have no beer money. But I am not detered, looks like I just need to add another 0 to the end of my desired daily impressions and try again at my next goal.

It depends on how you define "constant money" and your websites niche.

normally,
At least 100 unique visitors to your site will be enough for you to pay for domain and if you also want to cover the cost of web hosting you will need about 300 unique visitors.

I get around 200Unique to my site (inmysig)
Most are returning visitors who then login to the site.

I make a bit off the site. Nothing to retire on yet though

Decent traffic = decent money
The decent traffic is based on niche
Entertainment sites must have several k's to make some money
A real estate can make more with 500 you get the ideea

If you sell Ferrari earning 10% and your first visitor buy one... You make more with one visitor than a lot of webmasters do with 30M.

Fernando makes a good point. You could have 10,000 visitors and no one click a thing or you could have 200 and 5 of them click something making you 10 bucks. It really just comes down to luck a lot of times. Of course the more traffic you receive, the more opportunity you have for the law of averages to take over.

For me, a ballpark figure is

X daily visitors = X dollars per month.

Of course that will vary, but this ballpark figure seems to apply quite well. So with that in mind, 50 visitors per day would be $50 per month. Who would turn that down? Especially if it was from content-based sites that could be left on auto-pilot for weeks or even months.

Or, if you have ten 50 visit per day sites, you are now talking $500 per month.

I know it's not an exact science, but lets estimate here...

I just bought knowthisnews.com, its less than a week old. My goal, is to make $3 a day or more off of it, how could this be done?

And yeah, I know $3 is a small number, but I think realistically. Of course, with it being less than a week old there is literally no traffic. But it officially launched this morning. This would buy me a few rounds out and a pack of smokes for the weekend.

I'm more interested in owning many websites that make a little money, that can run more or less on auto-pilot than one large site making more.

I also own LandShuffle.com, which I plan on making into a rural land/acreage/country land listing website. Out of these two sites, which do you feel has the most potential to make some money?

wow this thread is depressing. 100,000 visitors a month and you were only just starting to make any money!!???

I may as well start selling my body now. Ah would probably get even less for that.

I currently have about 15-20 per day and am making about £20 profit per month. Trouble is I'm stuck at maximum 15-20 visits per day (occasionally may have the odd day of 50-60 visitors if a particular article link does well). It has only been a few months though.

I agree with the people saying that it really just depends on the niche of your site what you are accomplishing on the site. It's too hard to give a concrete number.

It depends really on what ad monetizing you do, where you advertise your site, what type of visitors you get, etc.

Someone could make constant money just one 300 pageviews a day while someone having 3000 pageviews a day could make hardly anything.
