I wasnt sure where exactly to post this so if its posted in the wrong section, I apoligize.

I am planning on starting a local niche directory and I am starting to find that some businesses do not have a website. I am worried that if the businesses do in in fact pay to be listed in my directory, they will not renew.

I am just looking for ideas on how I can track customers that visited my website first prior to going to the business.

You could ask the local companies to offer some kind of discount / promotion to your listing..

for example,
Ask the end user to quote web100 for whatever benifits.

This way, They know that users quoting that have come from you.

Other than that, There isnt really a way ( other than actually asking the client when they call )
