Hello everybody, if you're anything like me you've been driving yourself crazy trying to figure out the best place to put your ads.

The link below is a "heat map" that was sent to me by some good friends. Basically they try to find out where people look when they view a webpage. What are the best places to put ads?

So I put a link down below, AND HAVE NOT TESTED THIS INFORMATION, so I don't know how it will impact your website. But it is very interesting.

The research is that people tend to read pages in an F, or E formation. That is, all the way across the top, down the left side (mostly at the top), all the way across in the middle of the page, and (maybe) all the way across at the bottom of the page.

Once again, I have not tried this in a split test. I am new and don't have the resources to test many websites. I just thought some users here might find it useful. I know when i saw it I changed my layouts.

Yeah, you could very well be right. I'm sure it doesn't apply to all circumstances. If you have a site with repeat visitors (especially a forum) it seems like there would be many other factors that contribute as well.

Just thought it was interesting, will test it soon!

try using ads that are 300x250 pixels, 160x600 pixels, or 728x90 pixels. they catch peoples attention quicker

They look on the home page mostly and they will not go to other pages if the home page is not so good

just read your discription, sounds nice...but too many adds is not good decision for me, i want to see the text not only what i have to buy!

Nice share. I never knew that there were actual maps of where ads work best but when i read the google adsense one, i was relieved because my ads are at the end of my articles where they should be.

best place to put your ads is not a site that has good traffic, you can place it anywhere and surely you'll get traffic from it because there are lots of visits.

I like to put fewer but more effective ads in prominent positions.. As close to the content as possible.

It's also better in the long term to get people to subscribe to mailing list and to blast relvant content out with related sponsers as well.

yes right you are, its crazy job to get the buyers, just search for your required business websites and contact them, it may guide you more.
