It's good if people you don't know are searching for your domain, because it means they've heard of you and probably don't think they spelled it right. But any site is going to be #1 when you search for its domain name. Try mine, Adam's, or anyone else who responds to this thread. Think of that as a free one from Google; you'll need to do some work to get other, more lucrative, keywords.
Now I'm in no position to say this, but you could improve your page template. The top isn't bad, but the bottom is very plain, especially by comparison. My site is pretty ugly, so don't take that personally. But if you're asking about seo, it probably means you want more traffic in general ... whether it comes from Google, or anywhere else. Making a site that appeals to people is the first step, and makes the rest of them a lot easier.
Try using the more "tag" in your blog to break up the long posts. Add a photo or two to your article on selecting a camera. Then add your blog feed to your profile here. Some members will be interested in what you have to say, and showing the title under latest blog post makes it easier for anyone who might like a post to see it.
