Google has never published the actual search numbers as far as I know. There are a few places to find search volume, though you really don't want to trust the actual numbers. See them more as relative to each other.
The first two have limited free options, which is what I linked to. The third doesn't have a free option as far as I know. You'll get the most out of all of them by paying, but I think you can get either a free trial or a one day subscription to all.

The data is far too skewed by automatic PPC rank checkers etc to be actually worthwhile.

fastreplies I think it's worked on and off the last few weeks or months. Awhile back I heard Yahoo was planning on releasing a better tool, though it's been awhile so who knows. I generally won't use it much anymore.
Chris is right that all the free tools are skewed by people searching for their own keywords, but a little common sense can clear a lot of that out.

I never really rely on using overture at this point, because the way I found it, their database is way too old. The last searches is on Jan 2007. I hope they update it soon to be as useful as before.
