hi,
I want to buy some domains which have pagerank for SEO. But I found some domain had dropped before.

so far as I know, one regular domain becomes drop domain need take more than 70 days. In the period, the domain did not work. Also I see so many ppl are selling the drop domain names which have PageRank.

So my question is, normally, whether the domain name's page rank will be disappear in next google PR change circle. Or the domains are fake.

Waste of time and money. Ignore toolbar PageRank.

If you think the hostnames have type in value or the existing backlinks would send traffic for the content you intend to put on the pages then buy them.

People do overestimate page rank, my site http://www.skiingitly.net has for the moment page rank of zero (hopefully it will change in time just to massage my ego) but that has not much effect on the positioning in google. Through the good content, search engine friendly code (css), alt tags, meta tags, descriptions and back links I can get to first (uk search pages) or 2nd page on google for very popular term "skiing italy". No cloaking, no overstuffing just attention to details and good content. If you stop chasing the page rank and concentrate on getting your site to be attractive you will see the traffic go up.
Remember that the site with high page rank but no traffic is worth nothing in comparison to site with no rank and hundreads of visitors.

I personally would never purchase a domain name for the page rank. You want to consider a few things besides that...

1. Can I display content related to the domain name?

2. Is it easy to remember and spell?

3. Does it get enough organic traffic? (check trends and keywords)

4. Is it banned from ad networks? (adsense, TF, CM VCM, etc)

5. Is it considered a spam domain in any search engines?

Usually these are the few things you should be worried about.

Page Rank I believe is only used to help you get indexed better, by one of the major search engines Google.
