Ok, here's my input......

I have a site with over 3,100+ pages now (All .Php Variable Urls). 65% of all my pages are showing in google as indexed (With the exception of the ones I have hidden & added nofollow to).

The majority of all my pages are content rich, have good keyword density, & additional onpage optimizing techniques (On each individual page).

Understanding that it is a bit harder for a engine spider to translate dynamically created Url's, I added a categorical Footer navigation that has direct links to the categories them self (This is to keep my site within the 2 clicks from the home page to get to any other page theory).

In conclusion: With good navigation, 2 page theory, unique content, keyword density, & additional individual on-page optimizing techniques, I can honestly say my site proves the whole Non-Indexing dynamic .Php Variable Url's to be a Myth. As long as you optimize your site & each page individually with good navigation, EVERY page will index.

I'm not saying don't make your url's more SEF & Consumer friendly (Do it if you can), Just that you will still get indexed keeping the above in mind if you don't.

Hope this helps the debate - Good luck.

Hi LN

I've been referred "to" as an SEO Expert but never used the term myself as it only takes me to screw up one client's site while "optimising" to ruin what little reputation I have.

I simply refer them to past clients for referrals as I have many who are extremely happy with the results of an SEO campaign and have learnt loads while doing it.

In addition, and returning to the point. I'd have to agree with Scorpion.

I had a property website with well over 13,000 pages but Google wasn't indexing "...PropertyDetails.php?Property=123456" so I looked into this in some depth, asked around and tried a few things out on satelite sites that if sanboxed by Google I could just dump.

Here's what I found:

Yeah, creating individual content specific to each page was crucial
Creating an XML sitemap and submitting this to Google helped.

However, the XML version of the sitemap took ages to load and even after 2 years Google had only indexed about 40-50% of the property pages.

Anyway, no matter as I sold the domain recently.
