I was thinking about hiring this company to submit my website to a bunch of directories. Are they legitimate?

They may or may not be legitimate, but nobody is going to click your link on directory pages, and search engines know how to discount links from sites with thousands of them and no real content.

Hi there

Yup i have to agree total waste of time, and i know because i made that mistake lol, in fact me and a few others added my links to loads of free directories and my site went backwards, so unless u know ur links gonna get some clicks (customers) i think those free directories are a waste of time.

Out of about 400 i submitted i think i got 2 backlinks, so they aint even worth doing just for that.

Although u will always find somone that says, well a link is better than no link !

As the people on webmaster talk keep saying concentrate on quality links, dont waste ur time with free dirs and if you think about they are not free, because you have to go thru the sumitting process, so it costs u your time !

Woc

Rather then submitting to free directories and wasting your time, try to help other by posting in popular foums like Webmaster-talk and make build your brand also you should add helpful content by building a blog on your site so that you will get returning visitors.

I wouldn't waste your money on them. You can do exactly what they do and not pay any money.
