I have had a few of my clients ask me which I thought would be better for them to do, to park a second domain on their website, or to setup a redirect for the second domain. I am unsure of the answer, so I thought I would try and get some input from some of the SEO gurus around here.

Which do you think to be best for SEO purposes, parking a domain on your website, or setting up the second domain to redirect to the website? In my opinion it would be best to park it, but I'm not sure.

Thanks in advance!

If by "park" you mean "mirror", I'd say the best way is to mirror the two domains and let the clients 301 the individual pages of the domains themselves.

The reason I say this is because redirection a domain to another means www.domain2.com/page.html and www.domain2.com will both go to www.domain.com by default, if redirection is used (at least this is the way it behaves on an NT server.) From both an SEO and more importantly a user standpoint, redirecting www.domain2.com/page.html to www.domain.com/page.html makes much more sense.
