I am selling Paid links on my new site and am putting No-Follow links there because one of my friend said that google will stop sending traffic to my site if they find the paid links there.

He said No-follow link will not pass the PR Juice to the target site and google allows it and will not hate my site if I use that code.

Now, I am using No-Follow links on my site so I am safe now?

I just read the matt cutts blog and found that they say

"Your website should not have links that do not related to the content of your site"

But on my sms site I have banners and links to Directories, Forums,...etc so am i still doing wrong?

I am not a SEO expert or a webmaster, but just got involved in this thing while selling the links. And not sure if I am on the safe side or not.

Please guide me.

They wont stop sending traffic to your site like your mate said but they will penalise you for having outbound links on your site and penalise you even more for having unrelated links on your site.

The no-follow is your best bet for not getting penalized but on the other side of that if you only put them on there cos you sold them I would be very supprised if anybody buys the links anymore and if they do I would expect it to be art a massivly reduced rate. If your not even telling the people your selling the links to then your scamming them anyways.

Best thing to do fella is simpley not sell links.

I am charging only $10/year and that is I Think a very cheap rate.

I don't care if anybody buys links from me or not, only those people are welcome who just want Traffic and not running after PR.

If you are saying no-follow is the best choice for me, I am happy I took the right decision.

And, I am going to tell all my clients who have advertised their sites that their links are no-follow now, so if they continue MOST welcome, otherwise go to some other sites I don't care. I am not going to do any scam. I am good boy

Thanks for your suggestion.

If you're using nofollow on the links Google is fine with you selling links. Their objection is to people selling links that pass PR since they consider it an attempt to manipulate their search results.

Oh Please!!!

A site WILL NOT be "penalised" for having "unrelated" links that is BLATENTLY and obviously incorrect.

If it were even remotely the case then EVERY directory in existence would be penalised.

NO ONE has the right, ESPECIALLY NOT Google, to tell a site owner NOT to sell advertising to other site owners.

They do of course have the right to block links that are sold with the express intention of manipulating their algo.

Thats what I said that with the no follow he would be safe, where did I put that Google has a right to tell a site owner not to sell advertising?

Shows just how little you actually know about SEO/SEM then no wonder you are always trying to make out like people who do SEO are scum of the earth.

Tell ya what I will keep doing what I do and you keep doing what you do I know for a fact what I do works I have made many sites rank high in many very competative search terms and all my clients have been more than happy with the effect I have had on traffic.

So I carnt be wrong about everything like you make out I am.
