if if you have any idea about link baiting then can discuss here. I just want to know how we can develop our linking policy through link baiting. It will be great help if you people share your knowledge about link baiting and how we can do it.

Seriously, link baiting isn't something that can just "be done"...at least the best kind. There's no magic formula or secret trick. The best (and only true) link bait is good content and good fortune combined. That's it.

Something tells me you're an offshore web designer or SEO wannabe looking for shortcuts to success, and if that's your angle...you aren't gonna find it.

Adam lies. Link baiting is easy. All you have to do is make the 3rd <h2> tag on your page have child content saying "PLEASE LINK TO ME ON THIS PAGE!!!"

That's link bait. I don't think it'll be very effective link bait. You might not get links from any sites that get more than 10 readers that way. So if you want link bait to really work for you, you need to come up with a better kind or a better technique or something.

Adam made a post about IBM not being a very good company to buy from, and it was fantastic link bait for him. I made a post about a crazy blog I found, and got a few links out of it, even from sites I never heard of before. Lots of smart folks on this forum create free software and get lots of links from people who find the software useful. That's probably a good one, since so many blogs see themselves like the news of the internet.

Then sometimes a person will just say a really crazy thing. Imagine if there were no links, only TV cameras like if it was 1960. How did Al Sharpton get on TV?

"Link Baiting” can be considered a black hat technique.
A pre-created page can capture huge links on its own with little to no effort from you.
It has come to be the preferred way to natural link building.

...and I thought you had to copy and paste every article you can find, submit to digg and delicious every 5 minutes and for good balance stick googleads all over the place
