Forget "keyword stuffing" it simply doesn't exist. You won't anywhere close to the kind of thing that you would get a site penalised.
The only thing likely to happen is that you reduce the risk of your site actually making a sale.
Yes I did say risk of making a sale, because with the advice that many "experts" churn out, they seem to be deliberately aiming for a low a conversion rate as possible.
I can't comment on your site specifically as I have no idea what it is.
But as for NOT being specific about keyphrases is ludicrous, if you sell "high protein bars" then say that.
Forget meta tags, whatever you put in there is going to do somewhere between nothing at all and very little. The ability to edit page titles and body content is what you need most of all, unique meta description is useful to have, with meta keywords coming very low on the list.
