Google and Yahoo both allow you to request inclusion into their news programs.

The problem with this route is two fold. First your time for review and inclusion could be awhile. Second and potentially more difficult, is that it's my understanding these websites typically only accept news from websites that follow established editorial review process that have multiple editors, etc.
You'll also want to setup an RSS feed as well (if you have not already done so) and submit it to them, and other sites that carry syndicated news. This is probably your best bet. I have a list of sites that you can submit rss feeds to laying around somehwere on my hard drive. PM me if you need it, but I'm sure you can find plenty of resources on that with a quick search.
Another avenue a friend of mine recommended was using press releases from sites like
PRNewsWire.com
PRWeb.com
BusinessWire.com
These sites can help you syndicate a news/pr release and in the shortrun you will gain more exposure towards your eventual goal. You'll need to format it in a journalist / pr friendly way though and these sites charge as well.
Sorry I couldn't provide a more direct or immediate solution as I've typically only dealt with sites that are already setup in this manner.
