Anyone been penalized for using ad networks lately?

I think google just penalized most of my sites for using digitalpoint. I have always been ranked number 1 for the search phrase religious forum and religious forums. They have now moved my page way down on google's list.

My other websites (arcaderush.com) was totally removed for the key phrase addicting games. It was 5th on googles list.

Any ideas?

I just removed digitalpoint from arcaderush.com and submitted a re-inclusion request to google. I'll let yall know how it works out.

That is the first time I have heard that one.

Not doubting you, but that sure is a risky tactic by google if it is truly happening.

That could be true with arcaderush.com since I added YPN recently. However, religiousforums.com dropped drastically and I have adsense on that site. The only thing I have read is that google is cracking down on sites using ad networks like digitalpoint.

I don't think Google is penalizing anyone because they use Coop or YPN. If you're one of the many who's site went supplimental, it's not specific to the Coop, tons of site with no Coop had the same results.

95% of my indexed pages are supplemental. It is pretty annoying and I wish they would fix it.

I was penalized for using DP Coop. Once I removed the links and asked for reinclusion, I was added back into the index. Slowly.

I don't think there's any way to know for sure if it's the coop or YPN that penalized you, but it's possible. For some reason or other Google didn't like your sites.

I don't use YPN. It was DP coop links. Lots of good links. A few bad.

I was #1 for my search term on MSN. Then I put AdSense on my pages and a month later I was dropped down to page 8 of their SERPs. Pretty drastic change overnight for me not to think they are penalizing me for using AdSense.

By saying you get penalized for using stuff like DP, what do you mean like actuaslly visiting the forum ands posting your site to sell or any other method?

Sorry if this is an irretating quesiton, like many others im out here to learn :blushing:
