Is a Robots.txt really needed? Never even heard of it before, lol.

robots.txt is needed if you would like to stop search engines indexing a certain part of your site, assuming that they conform to the rules of course..

don't think you need it if you want every page of your site indexed, but you can use it to exclude pages that get indexed by the spiders..

That thing is pretty cool, showed me some things I didn't know that spiders could see about my sites, and also showed me things I thought they were seeing and not :-P

well, it seems to me that the tool is a bit to strict.. it isn't showing navigation of sites that I know for sure get indexed perfectly....

I prefer Lynx but this is good too and a lot more convenient.

If you need to compare two sites this does a pretty good job. Compares keyword densities, links, images, js, along with a text-based view of the site.
