Does google AdWords really work good? I have been thinking about trying it for Speedy Uploads, but not sure if its worth it. Maybe someone has a free voucher I could use?

The good think of AdWords is that you can are in full control of the advertisement. With the right statistics you will be able to calculate exactly how much a visitor, or even better an AdWords visitor, is worth. If your average cpc is below this value, you'll have a positive ROI and so you can advertise all you want

Return on investment...

For your site, speedy uploads, I do not think it would work well with Adwords. You may want to consider some other type of advertising. That's just a personal opinion though.

Return On Investment.

For instance:

you sell shoes on your website. For every shoe sold, your profit = 10$
You look into your site statistics and learn that from the 2000 visitors, 4 visitors bought a shou. Your profit = 40$ / 2000 visitors. So that is 40/2000 = $0,02 per visitor.
So you should not spent more than $0,02 per visitor (click) via AdWords.

I did the same calculation for my websites that only have AdSense income, and for me no AdWords advertisement... (well, I do it for others, but not for myself hehe)

My site is preety new and I think it takes time for people to trust a very new file hosting website therefore, I'm advertising on google adwords but there is no ROI at the moment.

I hope to get back the ROI soon!

very true, you can always look into this as an investment but sooner or later you will have to get your ROI positive

Yes I think Adwords Works. I use it extensively to promote some sites and affiliate offers. This week I have double my expenses with my Adsense and Affiliate revenues. Granted I am still fairly new at this.

The main thing is to evaluate the right keywords and price points to find your sweet spots. The ability to time slice your ads I have found very useful too.

For finding and managing keywords I reccomend KeyWord elite. This really helps me automate my process so I can increase traffic and recude my costs. One Affiliate offer alone this week paid for the tool. I was able to triple my traffic and reduce my cost per Action.

I tried out Adwords without a coupon, and didn't find it too successful for forums -- $50 didn't get me a single member
