I regestered http://seobook.org.uk/ on the 12th and add some links and in just 5 days I am #14 on Google for SEO book not in top 100 on yahoo added some yahoo friendly links this morning

Testing if you need content to get listed I think yahoo will need some content before we get a good listing. google does not care about content all that much.

The challange is on for the #1 SEO book spot.

I will wait a few weeks before adding any content

but you do have content on the domain....you even did some on page optimization by putting the SEO Book in a seperate H1 and also in H2...

You can't really call that content. that just a few lines of text and basic on page optimization. Title and H tags. compare that to the 100s of pages on seo book dot com. You can't expect to get listed with a blank page. LOL

I think #1 is going to be really tough. Aaron has some pretty strong linkage there, I'm not sure the effort to beat that will be worth the rewards.

I working on Page one listing for online casinos currently #26 on google much much more competative search I think I have a good chance but it might take awhile.

Surely 'online casinos' is more of a challenge. Maybe 100 times harder. But, 10,000 times more profitible.

Only 22 hits though in 2 days. Probably not enough to make a sale.

Problem is not too many peopel search for Seo book

people do search for "search engine optimization' or "SEO"though

A quick backlink check indicates that you have just under 1500 links in Yahoo and 45 in Google. Given the rate that weaker links need to mature at google, that says to me that you must have some top quality links as well as quick access to high volumes. There is no sandbox if you can manage that. Respect.
