Dear EarnersForum Users,

The website oxid.ro has 2 subdomains the first one is dictionary.oxid.ro and the second one thesaurus.oxid.ro. The website is pretty new, it has been launched in May. Since then i`ve began add both subdomains to as much as possible website directories. After that Google then Yahoo, Ask then Msn began to crawl my website.

Now when i look at the indexed pages for the major search engines i see something like this:

Google 61
Yahoo 0
MSN 19
Alta Vista 4,300
AlltheWeb 4,260

Are this results ok? I dont know why google and msn also doesnt start indexing more pages.

At the last PR update(13.04.2006) only thesaurus.oxid.ro went to PR1 only. And the havent changed. Is this normal?

Take a look yourself at the website, at the page sources and tell me what should be changed, or what should i do to improve to get better results.

you're sitemap is getting indexed, but that has an awfull lot of links in it. So the spider has a lot of work to do here

The depth of crawling is partly influence by the quality (and quantity) of inbound linking and regular updates. So I'd get more quality links.

hmm, what keywords are you targeting??

How does the site work exactly? I searched for a number of words and didnt get any results.

1- You need more content on the main page, explaining what the website offers.
2- You need more quality inbound links pointing to your main pages, make sure to use your main keywords in the anchor text, but dont use the same text for all of your links.
3- Have some links point to inner pages.
4- A redesign would be inorder, the general impression of the website when I 1st visited it wasnt so good.
5- Use your keywords in the title tag, and in the internal links in your website.
6- The directory sturcture of the website is too long, example this was a link I followed from the main page, directories should go at most 3 directories deep.

Those are some quick notes, hope it helps

SEO Portal, i`m waiting untill my website will be indexed on DMOZ, i`ve already indexed to alot of great directories with big PR.
SohaibT, thanks for the review, i didnt say the website works perfectly, and have the definitions for all the english words, but i can say you can find the big part of them.

1. the website www.oxid.ro incorporates dictionary and thesaurus definitions, what kind of content should i add exept the current one?
2. i`m working for approval on big directories with great PR, but also submiting to new directories.
3. what u mean by inner pages.
4. a new layout is almost finished soon i will post post about it.
5. i think this is already done.
6. i will rewrite the sitemap soon.
