Hi. My new site has just recently started showing up in searches. The meta name = "description" is not being properly read and displayed by the search engines. Please go to toozsense.com and view source code for specific details. You can also try searching "toozsense" in google for what is showing up. Any reasons or explanations as to why this is happening? Is this temporary? Is there a fix to this? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

You have an major error in your meta description. You're using quotes around "Tooz Sense" in the meta-desc.

This it what it currently looks like:

Code:
<meta name="description" content="The official site of Tooz. Offering my "Tooz Sense" on various topics, decisions, trends, gossip, companies, groups, teams, and individuals. These are my thoughts, right or wrong.......">
Change it to:

Code:
<meta name="description" content="The official site of Tooz. Offering my &quot;Tooz Sense&quot; on various topics, decisions, trends, gossip, companies, groups, teams, and individuals. These are my thoughts, right or wrong.......">
And the next time you could run your html through a validator if something seems wrong. It might give you a hint of such errors!

Thanks, I copied and pasted the code. How long should it take to notice a change in how the search engines read it?

Until Googlebot has come by your frontpage and then until it puts the new frontpage into the index.

It all depends on the popularity of your website. Expect it to be a couple of days, but don't worry if it's not updated in a couple of days. I'd say give it at least a week just to be sure.

Or you could just drop the quotation idea entirely. Stefan's got a good point though. I'd also reduce the long list after topics, which is redundant.
