Getting SE Ranking

Has anyone here ever used a service like registereverywhere.com It seems like in the grand scheme of internet marketing that really if you had the money for this kind of service it would be alot more beneficial that running an adwords campaign or something of that sort. As long as they didn't participate in link exchanges with "bad neighborhoods" it couldn't hurt I would think? What are your feelings?

At a glance, not worth the money IMHO. If you know about "bad neighborhoods", then you're already ahead of the teeming masses of website owners. And $79-129/year is pennies. Just an express submission to yahoo costs much more than that. Notice they don't guarantee Yahoo placement within 2 weeks. If I told you what I spend just on yahoo advertising each month, you'd never believe me.

The numbers do add up quickly don't they? I have to agree. "Guaranteed First Page Placement". Don't waste your money.

Well, if it is "Guaranteed First Page Placement" personally signed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin - then worth the efforts

Old fashioned hard work is what gets your site ranked.
There are tons of people out there that want to seperate people from their money. One of registereverywhere's services is metatag optimization. Metags helped out when the internet first started, but they don't do jack for you now... And search engine submissions? What in the world? These guys are old school.

Give me $100 and I will:
- Submit your site to all of the search engines responsible for 95% of the search traffic (Google, Yahoo, and MSN)
- Submit your site to three hundred useless directories that may never even show up in your backlinks and probably wouldn't help if they did.
- Cram your meta keywords full of keywords that don't help you in the search engines and could possibly trigger some spam filters.
Now compared to my deal why would you go with them?

Ooooo wow..... Sounds like JD has a product I might try.... LOL. Its my opinion that if they had an actual step by step documentation of a relevant sites ranking increase due to their product they might have a better chance of sale. But they do not, so they won't be seeing a dime from me. Thanks for your input guys, seemed like a good topic to examine.

You think Google's founders need some punk scam's money, or that they'd even think of cosigning some bs like that? Come on, get real.

registerverywhere.com worked for me

Hello,
Sorry for this long post, but after finding this thread when researching registereverywhere.com I had to post.
I signed up with registereverywhere.com's first page ranker on 6/2/06. I was completely skeptical, and I must have called them at least 6 times before I placed my order. The guarantee they are offering is a full money back guarantee if they don't have the site on the first page of at least 3 major search engines. One of the major search engines must be either Yahoo or Google. Before I placed my order, I printed out there guarantee, and took the plunge and signed-up. In my business $1000 is not a lot of money, because with just a couple of good orders I can make up much more than the amount spent. I must say it was still very difficult for me to trust a company on the internet thay I have never seen. I was careful and used my american express card, because if something were to go wrong, I could have an easier time disputing the charge with amex than any other card company.
Almost immediately after signing up with them, I started to check for my keywords every few days, and in the beginning it was a nightmare not finding myself. However, in August my site started popping up on all 4 of the search engines I was checking - Google, AOL, MSN, and Yahoo. For the past 3 weeks, I have been averaging about 110 unique visitors per day, and have been generating very good sales as a result. I was spending $1,600 per month on Google adwords. Thats about $20,000 per year. With registereverywhere.com I spent $1000 and that covers me for the whole year. The drawback with registereverywhere.com is that you need to wait for the search engines to pick-up on all the optimized changes. It took about 2 months for my site to start popping up, so you will lose about 2 months of wait time, but it has totally been worth the wait for me.
I have no experience with the other packages they offer, but for me the first page ranker service totally worked.
Hope this helps...

a) I'm skeptical that someone would bother doing that for one post. Especially a golf businessman. If it worked so well, why waste valuable time coming here?
b) If rankings are guaranteed, that might just be for the business name. You don't need to spend 1000 k to rank for your business name!
c) This is someone researching the services? Sounds like someone researching the buzz on their own company.
this is all IMHO, of course.

I came in here for the benefit of those that are looking for a legitimate search engine company to help them. I finally found one, and they have helped me tremendously. If other SEO search engine companies are in here, and based on your usernames that is the case. I'm sorry, I did not mean to step on your toes. I was just sharing my actual experiences. I understand why you are so skeptical, especially on the Internet, I am the same way. I'm 49 years old and I got on the computer only 3 years ago for the first time, so this is a whole new world to me.

I can get you #1 rankings in google, msn and yahoo for $20. The question you SHOULD be asking is "What keyword will I be #1 for?"
No offense, but if after 3 months of spending money on any internet service you're only getting 110 uniques/day, you've either been scammed or you got exactly what you paid for.

99% of search engine marketing offers are SCAMS. They are pretty easy to spot.

Let's see. Suppose that was a genuine post.
My site has had about 1000 unique visitors in 6 weeks. A total of 3 (three) visitors were from the search engines. I didn't pay for anything except for hosting. Think that's a bit better than spending $1000 for vague SEO?
I bet you could have simply saved by optimizing your AdWords and landing pages or increased the traffic by doing the same and adding more keyphrases.
At any rate, if you profited from them, good for you. But really, the $1000 could have been invested much smarter and you'd be getting traffic long-term for your targeted keywords (keywords that drive targeted traffic).
No, you aren't treading on toes, because quality SEOs provide better services than the one you advertise
