perfomancing.com/exchange and jobs.problogger.net

And my spin on what it means for SEO (content.....), some comparison of the two services, etc.

Quote:
Content is essential to having search engines spider a site regularly. Blogs, as regular content solutions, go a long way towards having spiders return on a regular basis. Now, two blogger markets have opened up in the past week or two making access to content creators very easy.

The first market to open was Performancing's Blogger Exchange. There, people can buy, sell, trade or just plain advertise blogging services, blogs, and other blog-related items, such as post swaps, blog tech services etc. The market currently seems to be offering some interesting, quality jobs. Best of all, registering and joining the market/exchange is free! The layout is clean and simple too (more on this below).
In related SEO news, I'm furious at having been left off both Barry and SEOMoz's top SEO blog list. Actually, not really, since mine's a newer blog, but still... how long does it take to recognize genius? I mean, I know being humble slows it down and all...

You not only to be an established blogger, but you need to be a well known blogger. Simply following the news is what everyone can do. What you can do is to create unique pages that everyone will speak and link about. This should get you noticed in the circles.

Also, you may want to comment on Rands and Barry's blogs, participate in forums they take part in as well as meet with them at SES and talk.

Yes, my blog is about 50% about SEO now, and I don't get any mentions yet. So what?

I 100% agree with you on this. BS, networking is the best thing you can do... Create good content, comment on other SEO blogs (and I mean comment in a way that you are actually adding value to the article being commented), try to differenciate yourself from other SEO blogs. Diversity as well as networking are the things that make bloggers stand out in their particular niche.

Er, I was kidding about being left off the list. Thanks for the tips anyways, you two've made some good points (as always, Fortius). Nice to see a new helpful head around the forums, Onym.

Anyone have an opinion/experience to share about the job forums? I have an experience to share except I can't discuss anything right now because of confidentiality and legal stuff. I hope it pulls through so I can talk about it, it's something I'm really proud of .
