Well I'm about to launch a new forum and I always make this decision during the final stages of my site launch. To vBSEO or not to.

To this day I haven't yet.

ANyone got any solid testing data they've done or personal experience they've had that they'd say makes vBSEO worth the price?

Well I went and got a license so we'll see. I gotta tell ya though. When I read about the new trackback/ping feature it has I had to fight off wood

I was just about to ask someone to perform the mod_rewrite rule for my forums over at ForumKings.com, but I decided against it and more towards buying vBSEO for launch date.

mod_rewrite on vbulletin messes up the referral links on Mint. I'm getting referrals like http%3A//www.nerdpoint.com/login.php

so far vbSEO has been great! the same pages were ranking 3 and 4 and are now top 2..for several keywords and different competing sites

I also own a vBSEO License, but you have to be careful. If you server load is above the average already, it'll die with vBSEO. However, if the load is in good shape, go for it!

Also the install was so easy it made me mad.

I set aside a whole hour for the install and after 5 minutes I had nothing else to do

You just upload all the files and load a plugin.

Digit and I just bought a license, we will let everyone know our results with it after we get it up and running. Waiting to install when we launch v2

One of my forums has right at 1,000 visits from bl.og this month, and it has been climbing each month since the ping/trackback was introduced.

vbseo has been great for me, and I will be the first to admit that after initially installing it, I gave up on it after about 6 months. I was convinced it was bad for my site. After further checking, I figured out that my problems were not due to vbseo, but largely in part to google. I reinstalled after a couple months without it and haven't looked back since.

I now own 4 licenses, and if I start another forum, I will be sure to addit to it as well.
