How many searches or CPC make a subject worth while? Supposing a term is moderately competitive (you can get into it, but it will take some work), how many searches do you look for to peek your interest, or what CPC is worth your while.
I mostly use overture's tools to estimate traffic and CPC. I look for terms that are searched for over 50,000 times a month for a main website, and I might optimize the subpages for smaller terms. I also like to see the top five bids on overture to average over $0.50. Over $1.50 is golden, but probably too competitive.
