I have a website. *whoohooo* I ran one of the pagerank scripts on it..and I ran the same script on a different site. My site is pagerank 0 and the other is pr 4. However, my site has more backlinks and search engine results. How does mine still have a lower pagerank. Help the pr noob please.

Toolbar PageRank has not been updated for over two months so what you see is just a snap shot from the past.

Forget about Pagerank it's just green pixel dust and of no practical use. What is important is where you rank for your keywords/keyphrases and conversion.

Step 1) Install the google toolbar.

Step 2) Go to your site

Step 3) Look at the pagerank section of the toolbar.

Step 4) Hover your mouse over it and see what it says. 0/10 or 4/10.
